Tommy Barnett

Attorney

Tommy Barnett is an attorney specializing in abstracting, title examination, and real estate closings based in the Uptown New Orleans office and servicing the Greater New Orleans area. A native of Metairie, Tommy now resides in Mid-City New Orleans with his wife, Genevieve, and their son, Harry.

A proud graduate of Jesuit High School he went on to earn his B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and later received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2021 with a Certificate in Sports Law. During his time at Tulane, he held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Student Bar Association, member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, and representative in the Tulane Graduate and Professional Student Association.

Before pursuing his legal career, Tommy served as an active-duty Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army. After law school, he focused his practice on real estate law, conducting residential real estate transactions throughout the Greater New Orleans area and performing research related to tax sales and adjudicated properties for taxing authorities across Louisiana.

Tommy joined Fleur De Lis Law & Title in 2025, bringing with him extensive experience in title work, having conducted more than 1,000 title examinations. Outside of the office, he enjoys baking, golfing, and researching his family history.
